To allow us to make these changes, visitors will not be able to see The Royal Mint’s Circulating Coin Factory in operation.
Limited Strike Your Own Coin: The 80th Anniversary of VE Day
Thursday 8th May 2025
Strike your own VE Day 2025 UK Coin in honour of the unforgettable events of 8 May 1945. This coin will be on the press for just 12 hours on Thursday 8 May, as a special tribute to this poignant occasion. Simply book your tour at any available time on this day. Strike Your Own Coins can be purchased on arrival at £10 each.
Join Chris Barker, from The Royal Mint Museum, at 11:30am or 2:30pm for a talk on The Royal Mint’s involvement in the war effort. At 12:45pm and 3:45pm, you can also enjoy 1940s themed music from singer Lydia Griffiths.
